Frequently Asked Questions

This sounds great, but I’m SO scared of speaking. Can this work for someone like me?

Yes. We’ve designed this membership program for people just like you. It was developed in collaboration with expert, speaking coaches, Learning & Development PhD Maya Saggar and Registered Psychologist & Scientific Director of Anxiety Canada, Dr. Melanie Badali, who know just how real speaking anxiety can be. That’s why the program gives you an entire year to build up your confidence, practice and train – because we know that real change takes time.

Do I have to attend every single Practice Session?

It’s up to you! You can attend as many (or as few) Practice Sessions as you’d like, although we do encourage you to try and attend as many as you can to get the most out of our time together.  Our Practice Sessions include training opportunities such as Workshops, Impromptu Speaking Power Hours, Office Hours and Special Events. Read more bout them here

How much time will I need to invest?

Since the lessons are self-paced, it’s really up to you. But we recommend investing at least 3-6 hours per month so that you can really double-down on learning and skill-building. At the end of the day, the more time you invest, the more results you’ll see, and the farther you can take yourself.

Do you offer any in-person events?

At the moment Speak for Success offers training exclusively online, although in the future we will host select workshops as well as special events in key cities. So stay tuned for an in-person event coming to a city near you.

Which application do you use for training?

Google Meet. Closed captioning is available.

Do you offer corporate training?

We’ve partnered with companies like Microsoft, SADA, Commit, and Metalab (to name just a few) to offer internal workshops to their team. If you’re interested, contact us at hello@speakforsuccess.ca.

English is not my first language. Can I still register?

Yes! Many of our members have English as a second language so if you want to practice your communication skills in English this program offers you a great opportunity to do that. That said. to get the most out of this experience it is recommended that you are fully fluent.
